Reception 2026 induction information
Welcome
If your child is due to start with us in Reception in September 2026, you should have received a welcome letter from us in the post. If you have not received this, it can be found by clicking here, but please telephone the school office on 01452 526889 to make sure that we have your correct information. Induction Leaflet
Admission Form
With your welcome letter, you will have received our admission form. Please bring this, along with your child's birth certificate, to the parents' induction meeting on Tuesday 16th June. If you have misplaced the copy that you received in the post, please click here.
The first three weeks
The dates for starting school are as follows

You will need to wait on the playground before school on Thursday, 3rd September. Our teachers, members of senior leadership and pastrol team will be there to greet you and take your child into their classroom between 8:40 and 8:45am. You will collect your child from the playground at the end of their session. The teachers will bring the children out to meet you there.
Please apply for Free School Meals
As we’re sure you are aware, all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to free school meals thanks to the Government’s Universal Infant Free School meals initiative. However, some children would be eligible for Free School Meals anyway due to their parent(s)/carer(s) being in receipt of certain benefits. When parents successfully apply for Free School Meals, it allows us to access additional funding (called the Pupil Premium Grant) to enhance the provision for the children. This provides a significant addition to our annual budget so we would urge parents to apply now – even if you don’t think you are eligible.
