As we near the Year One's Phonic Screening Check, the most important activity you can do with your child to support them, is to look at the resources found in the phonics area of our website. When you have practised these, you may like to watch the 'Letter Village' videos which can be found here. These will help your child embed good letter formation ready for Year Two.

The Year One children are beginning to explore multiplication and division. To support them with this, it is really helpful to encourage them to 'skip count'. Counting in 2s, 5s, and 10s is a Year One objective. Help your child to chant the counting patterns or have a look at the video links below.
