Harewood Infant School

Welcome to Harewood Infant School

About Our School

Harewood Infant School is located in Tuffley, a pleasant suburb of the City of Gloucester.

It has large well equipped classrooms, a hall and exciting outside play areas. Playing fields and grass areas with views over the city surround the school. Trees and plants make the grounds attractive and encourage bird and animal life. There is a conservation area and a quiet courtyard where our artwork is displayed.

George's Playgroup and Tuffley Playgroup are both based at our school. Harewood Infant and Junior Schools share the same site and there are close links between the two schools. The former caretaker's bungalow has been converted to provide an attractive facility for school and community use. Harewood Infant School is part of the Gloucester Schools Partnership.

The School Day

The door is opened at 8.45am. School begins at 8.55am and finishes at 3.00pm. This arrangement enables parents to deliver and collect children from both schools on the Harewood site. The lunch break is from 12:00 - 1:00pm for children in Year 2, and 12.15 - 1.15pm. for children in Reception and Year 1.

On Fridays, we encourage all parents to bring their children into the classroom from 8.45am so the children can share and celebrate the work they have been doing during the week.
